My kids love, love to help me in the kitchen. Usually when I start preparing dinner or they see me getting out the baking ingredients, I hear chimes of "I wanna help!" followed by the screeching sound of them scooting chairs to the counter.

Paige's new thing is whippin' up fruit smoothies with whatever she can find.

Sometimes I just give Preston a bowl of flour and a spoon and off he goes for lots of messy fun.
We made sugar cookies for Family Home Evening a few weeks ago, and here they are in all their glory. ( Wondering about the blue hats?? They are actually booties that the carpet cleaner gave us to use after he shampooed our carpets--now they are multi-purpose.)

CUTE!! I love that you got your camera cord - it is too much fun.
so i can totally relate to hearing the chairs scooting across the floor as soon as it looks like i'm about to cook or bake :) i need to get the kids cute aprons cause yours were adorable...and the hats to of course.
oh and i really need that peanut butter frosting recipe!!!

oh THANK YOU for the recipe! i sat around yesturday trying to figure out what i could make for our FHE treat that would involve PB frosting. and it was wonderfully delicious.
Did I see peanut butter frosting? My favorite as well. I have only had it on brownies, what do you guys have it with? It sounds divine. You guys are so fun, you should really enter some sort of family cook-off!
what a great tradition to have - you are so fun to let them in and work with you in the kitchen without worrying about one thing or another!! the hats were my favorite kitchen accesory by far!...I love what kids put together :)
