Paige's 11th Birthday

Family party on the actual day...

Her main gift was tickets to "Wicked"--night out with mom and dad!

The many faces of Paige...with her decorated masterpiece.

I just had to include this random photo.  This was taken accidentally when I was just snapping the camera to check the lighting and when I looked at the camera this is what it took!  Wierd.

"Paige's Un-slumber Party" Party

She had a few  fourteen of her friends over to celebrate that Saturday.  The reality is she actually wanted to invite more friends from school and church because she didn't want anyone to be left out, but I had to draw the line somewhere!--I guess having a lot of friends is a good problem to have!

We started by making personal pizzas, and while they were baking, the girls wrote cute messages about Paige on balloons.

Then on the count of three, they let go.

 It was pretty magical.

After eating pizzas, they played the "Name Game" where each girl had a famous person on her forehead and had to ask 20 questions...oh, I guess that game is called "20 Questions"....

Then they all got in their jammies while the
were baking.
Double yum-yum.
(That's yum-yum, yum-yum)

Then the girls snuggled on the couch with pillows and stuffed animals and watched Disney's "Lemonade Mouth".  There was intermittent singing and dancing throughout as I took turns putting braids and beads in their hair.  Everyone was gone by about 9:30pm!

It was so much fun, and Paige could not stop (hasn't stopped) talking about the "best birthday ever!...seriously, mom.  The best.  Ever."

Paige, even after getting used to being your mother for 11 years, I still can't believe how pretty amazing you are.  Crazy smart, quick-witted, musical, headstrong(!), sasstified (yes, sasstified), athletic, strong, conscientious, righteous, helpful, intuitive, friendly, responsible, organized, great baker, mature...and have been given the most gorgeous head of hair a girl could have!!

Heaven sent you to us, and we've been holding on for the ride ever since.  You make our lives full and keep us on our toes, Missy.  We love you higher than the sky.

Oh my, one year until she is in YW's. Is that even possible?
