Preston's 6th Birthday

What a birthday bash we had for Mr. Preston.  This is the year we do birthday parties for the kids' birthdays, so we had a small celebration on his actual birthday...

I have been wanting to make a birthday bunting for our family for awhile and I finally did it!  BONUS:  It's reversable!  So we can use this for every birthday--boys' on one side and girls' on the other.  The kids picked out the fabric they wanted (note the basketball and outer space fabrics).
Oh, that's a bat on his cake.  Not my best work, but he was thrilled!

...then we had the friends' party the following week.  Preston decided to go with a Halloween Party theme.  Very easy and very fun to do!

"Ring Around the Witch"
"Bean Bag Toss"--which became "Anything You Can Find Toss"
"Face Painting" by Paige

Preston was a ghost for Halloween...

...but some of Grandma and Grandpa's dress-up gifts allowed for a ghost/pirate/cowboy..

..clown.

Preston we love you buddy!
You are a joy in our family.
You make us smile and lift our spirits.
You have a zeal for life and it shows.
You are a smart cookie and love to read.
You are affectionate and loving (though sometimes we have to remind you to save your kisses for your family ;)
You are a hip-shakin' dancer.
You are appreciative.  (Like, I wash your underwear and you'd think I just gave you $50)
You are the best whistlin' kindergartener I know!

Happy Birthday beautiful boy!
