So, I was a pretty big fan of Jason Castro...I could do without the dreads (do they wash that?) but it added to his character. Plus, his voice was pretty fantastic in a mellow, easy-to-listen-to, folksy way. Beautiful tone and quality...anyway, he's gone and Steve and I both agree we will buy his CD when it undoubtedly makes it debut. Also, love David Cook. Also buying the CD. He makes anything he sings just cool. He's a real musician and ya gotta love that. Love Mormon boy Archuleta. He'll probably win and kudos to him. Check out this article my best girl Molly sent me. Yes, let's talk Idol. Jason Castro?!...Really Lisa?!? I hated him and couldn't stand that he made it to the final four. I realize I am not nearly the beautiful musician that you are...in fact, in all reality I couldn't sing a note if my life depended on it, but he was awful. And not only could he not really sing in a way that was captivating but he tried to be the biggest air head. Sorry, can't agree with you there. But I do love David Cook and hope he wins. While I have ties to David Archuleta I don't think he would have a very interesting CD because all he sings are powerful ballads...which I love...but not for an hour straight.
I agree with lisa part 2 - he would be fun with some serious direction in the studio. He is the weed we never smoked!
What about Brooke White? Yes, I realize she's already gone...but we are HUGE Brooke fans over here ...in Roseville, CA:) She had a few tough ones in the last few weeks...but she was FAB! Just had to give her a shout. David Cook has some good renditions...Billy Jean was awesome. Something about his look bugs me. Kinda wanna be maybe. Dunno.
I will add my "Let's Talk Idol" comments. We got hooked on Idol while we were in Arizona. (thanks, Lisa) I have enjoyed so many of the contestants that have come and gone, each one had their own talent and personality. I too had this "thing" for Jason. He might not have had the big huge talent, but when he sang something that really fit him he was great. I have felt for a long time, like a lot of people, that it would come down to the Davids. David Cook has awesome talent, but I don't think I would buy or listen to much of his music. David A. has the talent and I would buy and listen to his music. I was able to vote over 250 times this past week and they were all for him. I worry that if he wins it will interfere with his schooling and perhaps a mission in the Church, but as my favorite, and I feel the best true clear voice and those awesome vocals. I am hoping for him to succeed.
