Utah--Part 1
Yay for cousin time!
Backyard Swimming
Trevor has this dance. It's his own. And well, we just call it the Trevor Dance. And, sometimes, if we're lucky, he demonstrates the dance on the diving board.
Cannonball.
(Gavin, the fish, can jump off the diving board too. However, this day, he would not perform. :)
Here's to 2 more months of swimming! Thank you AZ.
Summer Sports--Volleyball
This is Paige's 6th season playing volleyball, and I think she has found her calling. (Well, besides becoming a broadway star, but that is another story.)
She takes the initiative on the court and, though playing with many beginners, she was a leader and built team morale. ("Do it again, Sami, Do it again! clap, clap" Oh, lots and lots of cheers.) To me, that is just as important as skeeelz.

Me, but older.
I had a birthday, and I turned 11x 3 +1.
We went to BJ's again.
Because it's a family favorite.
But, only crazy people take their 5 young children to a nice restaurant.
And, that would be us--crazy people.
But, in my maturing years, I feel like I can do whatever the heck I want.
So, I let my husband take me and our adorably exhausting children to the Place of the Pizookie.
And, we thoroughly enjoyed it.
And then I was tired and we left.
And then my family gave me homemade cards,
and wrapped some things found in the closet in the upstairs hall.
And I felt so loved.
The Gospel sound in our ears.

Paige's Craft and Cooking Camp
Paige decided that she wanted to attend a theatre academy camp this summer at our local dinner theatre. Steve and I are frequent patrons and love this place--Arizona Broadway Theatre. Well, we decided she should try to earn some money to help pay for it. She immediately wanted to do a craft/ cooking camp for young kiddos.
And, she let me know early on that she was in charge.
And, I let her know early on that I was the one with the car and money to buy the supplies and this would be in our home and I would more than likely be helping her manage the 13+ children that would be attending.
Ahem.
Well, she did an amazing job planning and executing this camp and it was a hit! A HIT, I tell you!
Over the course of 3 mornings, they made personal pizzas, chicken roll ups, sugar cookies, cupcakes, PBJ sandwiches, homemade tortilla chips and fruit smoothies. YUM!
She also had them paint birdhouses, make Father's Day gifts/cards, picture frames (each child went home with the picture above), painted flowerpots, and have fun with pipecleaners and pom-poms!
Doesn't that list make you tired?
Anyway, here is some of the fun:

Blessed

Lucy's blessing day was so wonderful. She was a fluffy, bundle of white and was silent during her entire blessing, but as soon as Steve said, "Amen." she let out a cry as if to say, "Amen!" We are thankful for her place in our family and for her safe arrival to us. As each child has been, she is a bit of heaven poured into our home and we love her.
